Video Visits at Menard: How to Register and Schedule Through ICSolutions
Video visits at Menard Correctional Center go through ICSolutions. No account there? You won't be able to schedule a visit.
Menard uses ICSolutions because Illinois Department of Corrections facilities switched their video visitation service from GTL to ICSolutions. What this means for you: register with ICSolutions first, then use that account to book your visit.
- Go to ICSolutions and start registration - Begin creating a friends-and-family visitor account so you can schedule video visits.
- Create your account login - Set up the username/email and password you’ll use each time you sign in.
- Enter your personal details carefully - Fill in the information requested during signup, and take a moment to check for typos before you submit.
- Choose the correct facility - Make sure you select Menard as the facility you’re trying to visit.
- Finish setup and sign in - Once your registration is complete, use your ICSolutions account to move into scheduling.
- Schedule your video visit through your account - Video visits are scheduled using friends-and-family accounts, so booking happens after you’re registered and signed in.
Tip: If scheduling isn’t working the way you expect, double-check that you selected Menard and that your contact details match what you entered during registration.
If your loved one is in restrictive housing, video visits are only available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Plan around that weekday window - booking outside those hours won't show any available slots.
Heads up: Restrictive-housing scheduling feels tighter because visits are limited to weekdays, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
There's also a daily blackout from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for institutional count - no video visits during that window. Skip that block entirely when picking your time slot.
