Before Your First On‑Site Video Visit at Miami County Incarceration Facility: A Practical Checklist

On-site video visits take place at the Miami County Incarceration Facility, 2042 N CR 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. Hours run daily from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM - including holidays - giving you plenty of flexibility when scheduling.

Walk-ins aren't allowed. All visits are by appointment only, so schedule your on-site video visit ahead of time.

Arrive about 10 minutes early. If you're late, your appointment slot doesn't shift - it ends at the scheduled time regardless, and you'll lose those minutes with your loved one.

Keep your group small. On-site video visits allow a maximum of four (4) visitors at once, and that includes children.

You're allowed one 30-minute on-site visit per week. Every inmate gets equal opportunity for one 30-minute session weekly. If your loved one is an inmate worker, they may qualify for an extended visit - up to one hour - but it still has to fall within regular visitation hours.

Costs Registration Checkin

  • Set up your ICSolutions visitor account and wait for approval before you try to schedule an on-site video visit
  • Register with a valid, government-issued ID, and bring that same ID with you
  • Your valid government-issued photo ID
  • Peace of mind about the cost: on-site video visits are free for both the visitor and the inmate

When you arrive, follow the facility's check-in and sign-in directions. The key thing: your ICSolutions account must already be set up and approved before you can schedule any video visit (on-site or off-site). A valid government-issued ID is part of that approval process.

What you wear matters. You're expected to be properly attired - if staff consider your clothing inappropriate, they can deny your video visit.

  • See-through clothing of any kind
  • Low-cut clothing that exposes the chest
  • Any clothing that inappropriately exposes undergarments

Keep things calm and your voice down. Loud talking, excessive emotionalism, or disruptive behavior can get your video visit ended early.

  • No smoking during visitation
  • Don’t bring items to pass along - no property will be accepted to be given to inmates at visitation

Note: Miami County Jail administration reserves the right to terminate, suspend, or deny video visitation (or visitation privileges) at any time for rule violations.
