How to set up your ICSolutions account for video visits at Miami County Jail
Miami County Jail uses ICSolutions for video visitation. Before you can schedule a visit—whether from home or at the facility—you'll need to set up and get your account approved.
All visits at Miami County Jail are non-contact video visits through ICSolutions. You can connect from the free ICS Mobile app, a computer, a tablet, or visit on-site at the facility. But first, you need an approved ICSolutions account. Without approval, you won't be able to schedule anything - on-site or remote.
Heads up: All video visits are recorded and may be monitored. You're not allowed to use any cameras, recording devices, or other tools to record or duplicate a visit.
When you register with ICSolutions, you're creating the login you'll use to schedule and join visits. During registration, you'll set up a username, PIN, and password for signing in later.
Planning to visit from home? Make sure you have a computer or Apple/Android smartphone or tablet, high-speed internet, and a webcam. Get these sorted before you register so you're not scrambling when it's time to connect.
You'll need a valid government-issued photo ID during registration. Have it handy so you don't get stuck halfway through.
You'll also need to select the inmate (or inmates) you want to visit and state your relationship to them. Choose carefully - this affects how your request is processed. If you're registering under a "privileged" relationship, the facility's Site Administrator must approve your registration before you can schedule non-recorded visits.
After you submit your registration, your account needs to be reviewed and approved before you can schedule visits. Miami County Jail handles approvals during normal business hours, so don't expect instant approval - especially if you register on evenings or weekends.
On-site video visits take place at the Miami County Incarceration Facility at 2042 N CR 25A, Troy, Ohio. They're free for both visitors and inmates.
A few limits to know about on-site visits: each visit can include up to four visitors total, including children. There's also a weekly cap - one 30-minute on-site visit per visitor per week. If you're coordinating with family members, plan accordingly.
- ✓ Video visitation hours are Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
- ✓ For on-site visits, arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.
- ✓ If you arrive late, your appointment time won’t be extended past the scheduled end time.
For off-site visits from home, you'll need a computer or Apple/Android smartphone or tablet, high-speed internet, and a webcam.
Off-site visits may have fees - those rates are set by ICSolutions, not the Miami County Sheriff's Office. Need to cancel? Do it at least 24 hours before your scheduled time, or you'll be charged.
