What to know before your first on-site video visit at the Miami County Incarceration Facility (Troy)

On-site video visits take place at the Miami County Incarceration Facility, located at 2042 N CR 25A, Troy, Ohio, 45373. These are non-contact visits run through ICSolutions Video Visitations. You can access the system via the ICS Mobile app, a computer or tablet, or on-site at the facility itself.

On-site video visits are free for both you and the incarcerated person, so you won’t be paying a visit fee just to use the on-site option.

Plan to arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. If you get there late, the appointment won’t be extended past the original end time, so you’ll lose part of your visit.

Keep your group small. On-site video visitation allows a maximum of four visitors at one time - and that includes children. If you're coordinating with family, decide beforehand who's actually going in so you don't hit a snag at check-in.

There's also a weekly limit. Visitors are allowed one 30-minute on-site video visit per week, so choose your day carefully and plan around that cap.

What to know before your first on-site video visit at the Miami County Incarceration Facility (Troy)
  1. Set up your ICSolutions account - Miami County Jail uses ICSolutions Video Visitations, which you can access through the ICS Mobile app, on a computer or tablet, or on-site.
  2. Complete the approval requirements - you must be approved before you can schedule any on-site or off-site video visit, and that approval includes providing a valid government-issued photo ID.
  3. Schedule only after you’re approved - if your account isn’t approved yet, you won’t be able to schedule or complete the visit.
  • A valid government-issued photo ID (required as part of the ICSolutions approval process)
  • Confirmation that your ICSolutions account is approved before you try to schedule or show up for an on-site video visit

Note: If staff believe you’re under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you won’t be permitted to complete a video visit. Consuming alcohol or drugs during the visit is also prohibited.

What you wear matters - staff can deny your visit based on clothing. Avoid anything see-through, low-cut tops that expose your chest, or clothing that shows undergarments. These are specifically flagged as inappropriate attire.

Don't bring items expecting to hand them off - no property may be given to inmates during visitation. Want to send reading material? Paperback books are accepted only by mail from family (shipped with a receipt, for example). They're subject to review and search, and books with staples aren't permitted.
