Phone calls at Missouri Eastern Correctional Center work one way—your loved one calls you. You can't call into the facility to reach them. Once you understand the billing options (collect, debit, or prepaid) and how Securus fits in, getting calls connected is pretty straightforward.
At Missouri Eastern Correctional Center, inmates cannot receive incoming calls. All calls have to be placed from inside the facility, and your loved one can make outgoing calls as long as they're not on restricted status. These calls run through an established vendor system and fall into one of three billing types: collect, debit, or prepaid. Which method you use determines how you'll set things up.
Phone calls at MECC run through an automated security system. Your loved one uses a personal identification number (PIN) to place calls - this identifies who's calling and applies the correct billing option. If calls aren't going through, the issue usually traces back to the account or funding method linked to your phone number.
