Scheduling Video Visits at Mobile Metro Jail: Online, Phone, or In‑Person

All visits at Mobile County Metro Jail go through the GettingOut system (sometimes called the GTL visitation site). You'll create your own account and book your own appointments - nobody does it for you. Complete registration and scheduling before your planned visit date.

No computer? You can register in person at the Metro Jail lobby, 450 St. Emmanuel Street. In-person registration hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00–11:00 am and 2:00–5:30 pm Central time.

Visits must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance but no more than 7 days ahead. If you try to book outside that window, you'll need to pick a different date or time.

Whether you're visiting onsite at the jail or remotely, sign in 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Cutting it close can cost you the visit entirely.

Once registered, you can choose between onsite video visits or remote video visits. Onsite video at Metro Jail is free. Hours for onsite visits are Monday–Friday, 8:00–11:00 am and 2:00–5:30 pm. Remote visits are available seven days a week during the same time blocks.

You should receive a confirmation email after registering. If it doesn't arrive, call 1-866-516-0115 for help.

1. Check your email carefully - look for the confirmation message and don’t forget to check your spam/junk folder.
2. Give it a short moment - sometimes confirmation emails arrive a little delayed.
3. Call for help if it still doesn’t show up - contact GettingOut/Telmate customer care at 1-866-516-0115 and tell them you didn’t receive your confirmation email.
