How to Read Mohawk Correctional Facility's Weekend Visiting Calendar (DIN groups & RMU days)
Mohawk Correctional Facility determines weekend visiting eligibility based on the last digit of the incarcerated person's DIN. That single digit tells you which weekends they can have visits.
The calendar alternates between two DIN groups: odd and even. Odd means the DIN ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9. Even means it ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. Each weekend on the schedule is assigned to one group - that's who can visit.

- Match that group to the weekend on Mohawk’s calendar - if the weekend is labeled for your person’s group, that’s their eligible weekend visit under the regular schedule.

On Mohawk's posted visitation schedule, an "(R)" next to a date marks Walsh RMU visiting days.
RMU visits follow different rules than the odd/even DIN rotation. If your loved one is in the RMU, they get one weekend visit, alternating between Saturday and Sunday. Look for the "(R)" on the calendar to find the right day.
Reminder: RMU visiting takes place during regular visiting hours - one visit per weekend.
When a holiday falls on a weekend, Mohawk opens visits to everyone. The usual odd/even DIN restriction doesn't apply.
Note: Holiday weekends are open to all, but confirm which specific dates count as holidays on the current calendar or facility announcements.

Holiday weekends override the DIN grouping entirely - visits are open to everyone.

Regular visiting at Mohawk happens on weekends from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Arrive by 2:30 PM at the latest - show up after that, and you may miss the visit. Schedules change, so check the most current facility calendar before you travel.

A few other limits to keep in mind: Mohawk allows a maximum of three visitors per visit, plus one child under age five. There's no cap on daily visits. However, if your loved one is in the Special Housing Unit (SHU), the rules differ - they're allowed one non-legal visit within a seven-day period during regular visiting hours.
