Visitation
Montgomery County Correctional Facility offers family visitation from 8:00am–11:00am, 1:30pm–4:00pm, and 6:00pm–8:30pm Sunday through Saturday—no family visits on Wednesdays. Visits follow a rotating, housing-based schedule: eligible inmates can receive one 30-minute on-site visit on their assigned housing day, with schedules updated about every eight weeks. During modified operations, both visitors and inmates must wear masks inside the buildings, and each inmate may have two visitors at a time (one can be a minor child). The Visitor Handbook notes visits may end immediately for emergencies. Earlier guidance described two visits per week, about 40 minutes each, with up to four visitors reporting together. Expect metal-detector screening for you and your belongings, and bring a quarter for on-site lockers (you'll get it back when you leave).

Staying in touch with someone at Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) happens mainly through video visits and outgoing phone calls. For video visitation, MCCF switched to ICSolutions effective July 24, 2023. You'll need to create an ICSolutions account and schedule your visit through their platform. Timing matters: ICSolutions lets you log in no more than 5 minutes early and up to 20 minutes late. Miss that window, and the visit is typically marked missed—refunds aren't generally provided. For phone contact, inmates have daily access to collect-only telephones. Calls must go out as collect or through a prepaid/PIN-debit account. Inmates can't receive incoming calls, and all phone calls from MCCF are recorded and may be monitored. For the smoothest experience, set up your account, fund any needed phone option, install the video app, and log in before your scheduled start time.

To send mail to someone at Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF), address it to MCCF, P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131 and include the inmate's full name and ID number. Always include a complete return address—mail without one gets returned to the post office. All incoming mail is opened and inspected for contraband. Examples include postage stamps, pornographic photos, cash, and clothing, which may be returned or turned over to police. Reading material is limited to seven total items (books and magazines combined). Anything over the limit can be treated as contraband and may be confiscated and stored for outside pickup. For fewer delays, use plain white paper and a plain white envelope, and address everything exactly as required. Many Maryland facilities route mail through off-site scanning services that digitize and screen correspondence before delivery.
