How to Sign Up for a Visit at Napa Corrections Facility (and Why Timing Matters)
Visiting at Napa Corrections Facility is time-sensitive. You need to sign up early enough, and each visiting block has a published cutoff for last sign-up. Follow the steps and times below so you don't make the trip only to get turned away at the window.
Each incarcerated person at Napa Corrections Facility can receive two 30-minute visits per week. If you're juggling work, school pickup, or a long drive, keep that weekly limit in mind. Miss a sign-up window and you may not get another chance that week.
Sign-up closes 30 minutes before each visiting block starts. Don't cut it close. Give yourself extra time to find the right location, get processed, and complete sign-up before the cutoff.
The county website lists two daily visiting blocks with built-in sign-up deadlines. The morning block runs 8:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m., with last sign-up at 9:30 a.m. A midday lockdown follows from 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. The afternoon block is 1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m., with last sign-up at 3:30 p.m.
A separate facility PDF shows different times. That document lists the lockdown as 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., with afternoon visiting from 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. and last sign-up at 4:00 p.m.
Heads up: The published schedules conflict (website vs. the facility PDF), especially around the midday lockdown and afternoon visiting window. Before you build your day around a specific time, verify which schedule is being followed.
Before you leave home - especially if you're traveling any distance - call 707-253-4401 to confirm that day's visitation hours. The county recommends verifying before you arrive, since visitation can be canceled based on facility needs.
- Don’t try to “sneak in” after the cutoff - Napa requires sign-up at least 30 minutes before the scheduled visit time, and the published blocks also have last sign-up times.
- Call before you make a second trip - if you arrive too late or sign-up doesn’t go through, call 707-253-4401 to verify what times are actually available that day.
- Plan your next attempt around the earliest safe window - aim to arrive well before the 30-minute requirement so you can complete sign-up on time even if there’s a delay.
If in-person timing doesn't work out, Napa also offers video visitation. The Corrections lobby has six free video stations where you can register to visit - open Monday–Friday during normal business hours. There's also a vendor-run remote option: appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, and the company charges a fee for online visits.
