Noble Corrections Institution, OH

Every visit to Noble Correctional Institution requires a reservation through the ViaPath/GTL portal at ohdoc.gtlvisitme.com—you can book up to one month ahead. Need to cancel? Do it at least 24 hours in advance, or it counts against your visits. In-person visiting runs Wednesday–Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with two sessions each day. Visitor processing starts about 15 minutes before each session. To get approved, complete and sign ODRC's four-page visitation application packet, then send it to the facility with a legible copy of your photo ID (mail, fax, or email work—just don't send it to ODRC's central mail processing center). Once approved, register with ViaPath to schedule in-person or video visits. ViaPath will email you if anything changes. Bringing kids? Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and need a separate minor application plus a birth certificate or guardianship proof. If the custodial guardian won't be there, bring notarized authorization—it's good for one year.

Since March 5, 2024, all personal letters and greeting cards to someone at Noble Corrections Institution must go to the ODRC Mail Processing Center (OMPC) at the Youngstown address provided by the department. This only applies to routine personal mail—legal mail and business correspondence follow separate routing and aren't affected. Like other Ohio facilities using centralized processing, personal mail may be scanned or processed at the OMPC before delivery. To avoid delays, print the incarcerated person's full name and ID/booking number clearly on the envelope.

Noble Corrections Institution provides education, job training, and community service opportunities. Academic programs include Adult Basic Education (ABLE), Pre‑GED, GED, special education, and certificate/degree pathways through Ashland University. For hands-on experience, apprenticeships cover Animal Trainer, Plumber, Janitorial, HVAC, Maintenance Repair Worker, Recovery Operator, Landscape Tech, and Bee Keeper. Career-technical programs include Building Maintenance, Carpentry, Horticulture, and Plumbing. The facility also offers a computer lab, remote learning, pro-literacy tutor training, service-learning training, and transitional education television. Community service projects include donations to shelters and senior food programs, Habitat for Humanity work, canine care, and vehicle repairs.
