What to Expect During Security Screening at Northpoint Training Center
Security screening can feel stressful the first time you visit. At Northpoint Training Center, knowing what staff might ask you to do helps you prepare before your visit starts.
Staff at Northpoint Training Center may require you to submit to a search before or during your visit. This can include a personal search, a search of anything you bring with you, and a search of your vehicle if you drive onto institutional grounds. These searches can be required before your visit begins or as a condition of continuing a visit already underway.
Note: Searches may be required by staff as a condition of entry or to keep your visit going, including searches of your person, your belongings, and your vehicle on institutional grounds.
If you're asked to submit to a strip search at Northpoint Training Center, staff will provide a consent form. Read it carefully and ask any questions before signing.
Prepare Bring
- ✓ Bring proper picture identification if you are 18 or older
- ✓ Be ready to present your ID when you arrive
- ✓ Expect that staff may ask to search your person
- ✓ Expect that any objects you bring may be searched
- ✓ If you drive onto institutional grounds, expect your vehicle may be searched
Think of check-in as two separate steps: confirming your identity and completing security screening. If you're 18 or older, you'll need a valid photo ID to enter. Staff may also search your person, belongings, and vehicle on institutional grounds. These searches can be required before your visit or as a condition of continuing it.
