Pasco County Detention's Digital Mail System: What Can and Can't Be Sent

Pasco County Corrections uses a digital mail scanning service through ICSolutions. This changes where you send personal mail and what materials are accepted.

Pasco County Corrections runs all personal mail through a digital scanning service provided by ICSolutions. The jail does not accept personal mail directly. If you send a regular letter straight to the jail (like you might at other facilities), it can be rejected or delayed because it never entered the scanning process. Instead, send personal mail to the digital mail address and follow the paper-only rules so it gets processed.

Personal mail needs to go to the ICS Digital Mail Center, not to the jail itself. Address your envelope like this: ICS Digital Mail Center Inmate Name (include the inmate's full name) Inmate ID (include the inmate's ID number) P.O. Box 17339 San Antonio, TX 78227 Both the inmate's name and ID must appear on the envelope. Without them, the mail center may not be able to route your letter.

Note: Privileged mail and government-issued checks are handled differently. Send those directly to Pasco Corrections, 20101 Central Blvd, Land O' Lakes, FL 34637, and include the inmate's full name and ID.

Allowed Sizes and Rejections

  • Minimum paper size: 4 inches x 6 inches
  • Maximum paper size: 8.5 inches x 14 inches

The digital mail system only scans paper. Anything that isn't paper will be rejected, not delivered.

  • Legal mail
  • Newspaper clippings and magazine clippings
  • Post-it notes
  • Anything attached to paper with tape or other adhesives
  • Documents with staples, paperclips, binding agents, or adhesives
  • Greeting cards with die cuts or pop-out designs
  • Documents with glitter or sparkles

Certain items won't be accepted at the digital mail center at all. Certified mail, packages, money orders, and cash will be returned to sender. Don't tuck funds or property into a letter headed to the scanning address. They won't be processed through digital mail.

Note: All physical mail sent in for scanning is destroyed 60 days after it's uploaded to the digital system.

  1. Prepare your original paper letter or item so it can be scanned through the digital mail process.
  2. Put a self-addressed, stamped envelope inside the original mailing. This inner envelope is what the service uses to send your original back.
  3. Mail the item in for scanning knowing that, without that self-addressed stamped envelope included inside, you should not expect the original to be returned.
