How to Schedule a Visit at Pelican Bay Using the GTL/ViaPath Online System

CDCR uses the GTL/ViaPath online portal to let you handle visit scheduling in one place. Once logged in, you can book and manage upcoming visits without needing to coordinate everything in person. The real advantage? You choose the visit date, time, and location that works for you - and the system confirms your booking instantly. You might notice ViaPath branding on the site, including a ViaPath Technologies copyright notice. That's expected - ViaPath is the vendor running the scheduling platform for CDCR.

Never used this portal before? Head to the Log On page and look for the New Users section. Click "CLAIM ACCOUNT" to register before you try to schedule anything. Once your account is set up, you can sign in and book your visit time.

Tip: If you’ve used the portal before but can’t sign in, use the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page to recover your credentials.

How to Schedule a Visit at Pelican Bay Using the GTL/ViaPath Online System

After signing in, head to the scheduling area to set up your visit. You're reserving a specific time slot - no showing up and hoping there's space. Look for anything labeled "Schedule Visits" as you work through the booking screens. When you submit your reservation, the portal confirms it instantly. You'll know right away whether you're booked.

  1. Log on to the CDCR GTL/ViaPath portal - use your Visitor ID or email and your password.
  2. Open “Schedule Visits” - this takes you into the part of the portal used for reservations.
  3. Choose the visit details - select the date, time, and location offered in the system.
  4. Confirm the reservation - once you submit, the visit is confirmed instantly if everything goes through.

Prefer Spanish? Switch the portal language before you start. Near the top of the page, there's a Language option with "Español" - this changes all the labels and prompts to Spanish while you book.

ViaPath/GTL provides this scheduling portal. If you want to know how the system handles your account and information, you'll find links to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy right on the login page.

Scheduling online is just one piece. Pelican Bay's visiting rules still matter for a smooth trip, so double-check the facility details before you go. A heads-up: CDCR's facility-locator pages don't always load cleanly. The Pelican Bay page sometimes shows a "This will only take a few seconds..." loading message. JavaScript is required, so the page may not render at all if your browser blocks scripts.

Note: CDCR’s facility-locator requires JavaScript. If the page won’t load or you only see a loading message, try a different browser or settings so you can verify the information you need.

Having trouble completing the scheduling process? Use the portal's built-in help. The login page has "Contact" and "FAQ" links - start there when something isn't working as expected.
