Sending money to someone at Pitchess: in person or by mail
Fund a Pitchess inmate’s account at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles or by mail. Learn where to go and how to prepare a mailed payment.
You can put money on a Pitchess inmate’s books in person or by mail, as described in Shouse Law Group’s jail guide. These are account-funding instructions, not bail-payment instructions. Pitchess has no cashier and does not accept money directly at the facility. For an in-person deposit, go to the Inmate Reception Center at 450 Bauchet Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Deposits are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The reception center’s contact number is (213) 893-5875. To mail a deposit, use a California bank-drawn cashier’s check, a U.S. Postal Service money order or a California state money order. Make it payable to the inmate’s name and booking number. Address the payment with the inmate’s complete name and seven-digit booking number, followed by Terminal Annex P.O. Box 86164, Los Angeles, CA 90086-0164.
