At Pima County Jail (Main Jail in Tucson), all visits happen by video. Before you try to schedule anything, confirm your loved one is eligible: inmates can only receive visits after their first court appearance and assignment to a permanent housing unit. If they're not there yet, the system won't let you book.
Keep your group to four people or fewer. Juveniles must be accompanied by at least one adult, and kids can't be left unattended during the visit.
You can schedule an on-site video visit two ways: book online at pimacountyaz.gtlvisitme.com, or use the kiosk in the main entrance lobby. Either way, schedule before you show up - this facility doesn't allow walk-ins.

Check in at the Main Jail Front Desk at 1270 W. Silverlake Road, Tucson, AZ 85713. Arrive at least 15 minutes early - lines can slow things down, and you don't want to miss your slot.
Visitation hours run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No visits on federal holidays. You must schedule one to seven days in advance - same-day walk-ins aren't accepted. Treat your start time as firm. Show up late, and you may lose the visit entirely.
ID Requirements
- ✓ A valid (current) photo ID for check-in
- ✓ Acceptable IDs include: driver’s license, DES ID, Arizona ID, Military ID, Passport, Travel Visa, U.S. B1/B2 Visa, Border Crossing card, Resident Alien card, or Work permit
- ✓ Your ID must show: your photo, date of birth, and current address
Each inmate gets one free 30-minute on-site video visit per week. Additional 30-minute visits cost $9.00 per inmate, per day.
Book your visit one to seven days ahead - same-day scheduling isn't an option, so grab your preferred time early. On visit day, arrive early and check in promptly. Visits run on schedule, and late arrivals may be cancelled.
