How to send money to someone at Pinckneyville Correctional Center

Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) deposit rules apply when you send money to someone at Pinckneyville. You can use JPay, MoneyGram, Send2Corrections provided by Western Union, or a mailed money order.

IDOC no longer uses GTL, also known as ConnectNetwork or ViaPath, for deposit services.

For every electronic transfer, IDOC requires the recipient's IDOC number and incarcerated last name. At a MoneyGram location, use the Blue MoneyGram Express Payment Form with receiving code 7364.

IDOC allows electronic deposits up to $5,000 through JPay and Send2Corrections/Western Union; the maximum for all MoneyGram transactions is $3,000. JPay and Western Union deposits are anticipated to reach the recipient's account within 24–48 business hours. MoneyGram deposits are anticipated to reach the account within 72–96 business hours. Funds sent while the recipient is transferring between facilities may take longer than 24–96 business hours.

Under IDOC's money-order rules, the amount cannot exceed $999.99, and the money order must be payable to JPay. You must include a lockbox deposit slip, available at each facility, along with the recipient's name and IDOC number and your name and address.

1. Obtain a lockbox deposit slip from a facility.
2. Prepare a money order for no more than $999.99, payable to JPay.
3. Complete the slip and include the recipient's name and IDOC number and your name and address with the money order and slip.

Mail your money order and completed deposit slip together to the JPay lockbox at PO Box 260250, Hollywood, FL 33026.
