What You Need to Know Before Setting Up a ConnectNetwork Account for Virginia Inmate Calls

Before you add money to an account, make sure you're choosing the right ConnectNetwork option for how your loved one will call you from a Virginia facility.

Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) inmate phone calls go through ConnectNetwork, which is operated by Global Tel*Link. When you set up funding, you'll pick between two paths: an AdvancePay account that you preload for incoming calls, or a deposit to the inmate's own PIN Debit account so call costs come out of their balance.

Note: Calls on the VADOC system are recorded and monitored. The exception is properly verified attorney calls.

AdvancePay is the prepaid option for family and friends. You can set it up online through ConnectNetwork, or call their toll-free line at 1 (800) 483-8314 to get started over the phone. Save that number. It's also the direct line for help if you run into issues during setup.
