Redgranite's Parking and Arrival: What to Know Before You Go
A smooth visit starts before you even walk through the door. Here's what you need to know about parking at RGCI, securing your vehicle, and timing your arrival right.
Park in any open, unreserved spot in the lot at Redgranite Correctional Institution (RGCI). If a space isn't marked reserved, it's yours - no special pass needed.
Accessible parking is at the front of the lot, closest to the entrance. Helpful in bad weather or if walking long distances is difficult.
Lock your car and roll up the windows before heading inside. RGCI requires all vehicles in the lot to be secured - do a quick check before you walk away.
No waiting in the car: No persons or pets are allowed to wait in a vehicle while the visit takes place.
Brought something you can't take inside? Lockers in the lobby hold vehicle keys and other prohibited items. Grab a token from the Lobby Officer.
The lobby doesn't open until ten (10) minutes before visiting hours begin. Show up earlier and you'll wait outside - arriving super early won't get you checked in any faster.
Timing tip: Arrive close to that 10-minute window so you're not standing around. And remember - no one can wait in the car during your visit, including pets.
