Video visits can be a lifeline—but the rules are strict and fees add up fast if you miss a session. Here's how video visits work at Redgranite Correctional Institution (RGCI): costs, limits, no-show charges, and who can join.

At Redgranite Correctional Institution, each video visit costs $2.50.

RGCI allows up to two video visits per day for a person in custody (PIOC). That flexibility helps if you're juggling work, school, or different family schedules. Just plan ahead - burn through both visits early and you're waiting until tomorrow.

There's also a monthly ceiling: 12 video visits per month per PIOC. If you're spacing visits out, this cap matters more than the daily limit - especially when you're trying to maintain a steady routine.

All video visits must be scheduled through ICSolutions at www.icsolutions.com. You can't request a visit on the spot - get it on the calendar first, then make sure everyone who plans to join is ready at the scheduled time.

Video visits run 25 minutes. That goes fast. Log in a few minutes early, get kids settled before the call starts, and keep a short list of must-discuss topics so you're not scrambling once the timer's running.

No-show fees still apply. RGCI charges for a scheduled video visit whether or not the PIOC or visitor shows up. Set reminders and only book times you're confident you can make.

Up to six visitors can join a single video visit. That's great for families who want to connect together - just coordinate ahead of time so everyone who plans to be on the call is properly included.

  • ✓ List any visitor under 18 as an additional visitor for the video visit.
  • ✓ Make sure the minor is accompanied and supervised during the visit by an authorized adult visitor.

If the person you're visiting is in restrictive status or restrictive housing, visits happen by video conference with different rules. These visits last up to one hour and allow a maximum of two visitors.
