Video visits at RGCI: costs, scheduling, duration, and conduct rules

Each video visit at Redgranite Correctional Institution (RGCI) costs $2.50. If you're visiting regularly, that per-visit fee adds up, so it's worth budgeting for.

RGCI allows up to two video visits per day for each person in their care (PIOC).

There's also a monthly cap of 12 video visits. Plan your schedule carefully. The $2.50 charge still applies if either the PIOC or the visitor is a no-show for a scheduled visit.

Each video visit lasts 25 minutes. That goes fast. If you have a lot to cover, it helps to prioritize what you want to talk about before the session starts.

All video visits at RGCI must be scheduled through the ICSolutions website. There's no other way to book one.

Have your valid state ID ready. You'll need to show it when the video visit begins.

Only people who are pre-approved on the visiting list and scheduled for that specific video visit can join the session. If someone isn't both approved and scheduled, they can't participate, even briefly.

• ✓ Showing objects identified as a threat (including firearms, weapons, knives, etc.)
• ✓ Vaping, smoking cigarettes, or other tobacco use
• ✓ Gang or criminal activity

Breaking the rules can do more than cut that day's call short. The PIOC may receive a conduct report, and visiting privileges can be suspended or revoked for the PIOC, the visitor, or both.
