River City In-Person Visit Rules: One 45-Minute Weekly Visit, Who Can Attend, and Conduct Limits

River City Correctional Center allows residents one in-person visit per week. Each visit lasts 45 minutes, so plan accordingly to make the most of your time.

Each visit is limited to one adult and up to three minor biological children. River City considers anyone over 18 an adult, so an 18-year-old counts as the adult visitor, not as a minor child.

Being eligible to visit isn't enough. The resident's Case Manager must approve everyone listed on the Visitation Form before they can attend.

Bring an official photo ID (driver's license or state ID). Staff verify all visitors, and you'll also need to follow the facility's visitor dress code to be allowed in.

• ✓ No touching is permitted between adult visitors and residents.
• ✓ Visitors and residents may not pass any items between each other.
• ✓ No food or beverages are allowed in the visitation area.

Being under the influence is prohibited. So is using drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products inside the facility. Don't bring anything that could be considered contraband. Anyone found with a weapon, drugs, or other contraband will face criminal charges.

Break a rule during visitation and River City can end the visit on the spot. You may also lose future visits. If the violation involves weapons, drugs, or other contraband, expect criminal charges.

1. A rule violation is identified - this can include conduct in the visitation area or prohibited items.
2. The visit is ended immediately - violations can result in termination of the visit on the spot.
3. Future visits may be lost - visitation can be affected going forward, and visits are tied to the approved list on the resident’s Visitation Form through the resident’s Case Manager.
