How to Send Money to Someone at RMC Work Camp by Mail (money orders & JPay)

Before buying a money order, confirm you're allowed to send funds. To deposit money by mail at RMC Work Camp, you must be on the incarcerated person's Approved Visitors List. If you're not approved, your payment won't be accepted.

Tip: Not sure if you're on the Approved Visitors List? Confirm that first, before filling out the deposit slip and money order. Saves you a rejected payment and wasted time.

Make the money order payable to JPay. That's the name that goes on the "Pay to" line for mailed deposits.

On the "memo" or "used for" line, write the incarcerated person's name and DC#. This detail matters - missing or incorrect info can delay the deposit or cause it to be credited to the wrong account.

Note: Don’t put letters, notes, or cards in the same envelope as the money order - those items will be discarded.

If you’re using the standard Money Order Deposit Form for incarcerated person deposits, the mailing address shown is: JPay PO Box 260010 Hollywood, FL 33026

There’s also a separate coupon used for restitution and court-ordered payments that lists a different mailing address: JPay PO Box 260130 Hollywood, FL 33026

Important: These two JPay forms use different PO boxes. Before you mail anything, double-check the deposit slip/coupon you’re using and send it to the address printed on that specific form.

Other Required Info

  • Include a copy of your photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport)
  • Fill in a valid email address and mailing address on the deposit slip
  • Keep the money order at or under $999.99 (maximum for a single money order)

JPay uses the deposit slip to process and track your payment. Your email address and mailing address are required - money orders won't be processed without them. You also need to include a copy of your ID; leaving it out is one of the most common reasons deposits get delayed. One more thing: the maximum for a single money order is $999.99. If you need to send more, you'll have to split it across multiple orders.

Once JPay receives your envelope, approved money orders are processed within ten (10) business days. That clock starts when they get it - not when you drop it in the mail - so factor in delivery time.

  1. Confirm you’re approved to send funds - you must be on the incarcerated person’s Approved Visitors List.
  2. Double-check the incarcerated person’s name and DC# - write them clearly (including on the money order memo line) so the deposit can be matched correctly.
  3. Complete the deposit slip with a valid email and mailing address - without both, the money order won’t be processed.
  4. Include a copy of your photo ID - send a copy of your driver’s license, state ID, or passport with the money order.

Watch for this: Missing email/mailing address on the slip or leaving out your ID copy are two of the fastest ways to get a money order rejected.
