Before You Go: Robinson Correctional Center's COVID Screening and Entry Process

Arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled visit time. You'll need that buffer - entry procedures happen before you ever reach the Visiting Room.

Expect a COVID-19 symptom and temperature screening when you enter. Staff use this to identify visitors who may be showing symptoms, so it's part of the normal entry process.

Before You Go: Robinson Correctional Center's COVID Screening and Entry Process

Security screening is required for entry. At the Visitor Center, officers will conduct a body search before you can proceed. Searches don't stop there. All persons, vehicles, and items brought onto State property are subject to search. The easiest way to keep things moving? Arrive with as little as possible and leave anything you can't bring into the Visiting Room at home.

  • Electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, smart watches)
  • Food and drink
  • Smoking materials and currency
  • Packages, purses, bags, books, magazines, sunglasses, and personal keys
  1. Have two forms of ID ready - If you’re an adult visitor, bring two forms of identification, and make sure one is a current state-issued photo ID.
  2. Keep your vehicle information handy - Adult visitors are required to provide vehicle information during the visit process, so it helps to have it ready at check-in.

Heads up: Bring the required ID and assume anything you - or your vehicle - bring onto State property can be searched. Showing up unprepared or with prohibited items can slow down entry and may affect whether you're allowed to proceed.
