What to Bring (and What to Leave Behind) for Visits at Robinson Correctional Center
A little prep goes a long way at Robinson Correctional Center. Bring the right ID, keep your belongings simple, and you'll skip the most common delays at the door.
Adult visitors need two forms of identification. One must be a current, state-issued photo ID - think driver's license, state ID, or passport. Staff will verify your date of birth during check-in. Other acceptable documentation includes non-U.S. citizenship documents, as long as they're current and show your date of birth.
First-time visitor? You'll need to complete a Prospective Visitor's Interview (PVI) form (DOC 0148) unless you've already received electronic approval.
Dress code reminder: Dress conservatively. No clothing that exposes buttocks or breasts. All visitors must wear underwear, and female visitors must wear a bra.

Everything you bring onto state property can be searched - your vehicle, your pockets, everything. The easiest approach? Leave prohibited items at home or locked in your car before heading to the Visitor Center.
Medication rules are strict. Only two exceptions: a physician-prescribed asthma inhaler and physician-prescribed heart medication in a properly labeled container. That's it. Bring only what you need for the visit, and keep it in the original container to avoid any issues at screening.
Visiting with kids? The same rules apply - no bags, food, drinks, or personal belongings in the Visiting Room. Small lockers are available at no charge if you need to store permitted items. Pack light when bringing a baby. Rules are enforced strictly at the door, so call ahead if you're unsure whether a specific item will pass screening.
Robinson Correctional Center offers small lockers at no charge. Handy for permitted items you'd rather not leave in your car. One catch: lockers aren't a workaround for the rules. Electronics, bags, and other restricted items still can't enter the Visiting Room - even if they fit in a locker.
Expect screening when you arrive. Officers conduct body searches at the Visitor Center, and all persons, vehicles, and belongings on state property are subject to search. Speed things up by having your ID ready, pockets empty, and extra belongings already stowed in your car or a visitor locker.
