Rockdale County Jail Mail Change (Effective Feb 10, 2025): How to Send Letters, Legal Mail, and Money Orders

Starting February 10, 2025, Rockdale County Jail stops accepting personal mail sent directly to the facility.

Instead, personal mail goes to a JailATM processing address. Your letter gets scanned and delivered digitally to the inmate's JailATM communication account - they'll receive it on a screen rather than as paper.

For personal letters after February 10, 2025, address your envelope exactly like this, including the inmate's name and number: JailATM.com – Rockdale County Jail Inmate Name / Inmate Number 925B Peachtree St. NE, Box 2062 Atlanta, GA 30309

Note: Mail sent to this address gets scanned and delivered through the inmate's JailATM account - not as a physical letter.

Legal mail works differently. The jail still accepts legal mail at the facility, but only from an attorney of record. It must be clearly marked "Private Legal Mail" and include the inmate's name and cell location.

Warning: Business or administrative forms requiring a signature should be brought to the facility in person. Don't slip a personal note into legal or business paperwork - any personal correspondence mixed in will be destroyed.

Money orders are still accepted at the facility. Write the inmate's name and "Money Order" on the front.

The jail won't accept bulk mail - things like printed website pages or large batches of scanned documents. Keep it simple, or your mail gets rejected.

Practical Tips

  • Don’t mix personal correspondence with legal or business mail - any personal correspondence mixed in will be destroyed.
  • When sending personal mail to JailATM, include the inmate name and inmate number in the address.
  • For money orders, write the inmate’s name and “Money Order” on the front.

Tip: Expect your letter to be scanned and delivered digitally through JailATM. Skip the bulk packets - lots of printed web pages or large scanned copies won't make it through.
