Rockdale County Jail mail changes (effective Feb 10, 2025): what families must do

Starting February 10, 2025, Rockdale County Jail stops accepting personal mail sent directly to the facility. Instead, you'll need to send all personal mail to a JailATM scanning address. The jail provides the exact format you must use.

Your letter won't arrive as physical mail. It gets scanned and uploaded to the inmate's JailATM communication account.

After February 10, 2025, address inmate mail like this: JailATM.com – Rockdale County Jail Inmate Name / Inmate Number 925B Peachtree St. NE, Box 2062 Atlanta, GA 30309 Double-check the inmate's name and number before mailing. Mistakes can delay or prevent delivery.

When your letter arrives at the JailATM address, staff scan it into the inmate's JailATM account. This is how personal correspondence works going forward. Anything mailed directly to the jail after February 10 won't get through.

Legal mail works differently. The jail still accepts legal mail, but only if it comes from an attorney of record.

• ✓ Include the inmate’s name and cell location
• ✓ Do not mix personal correspondence into legal or business mail (it will be destroyed)

Have business or administrative forms that need a signature? The jail says to bring those in person rather than mailing them.

Accepted Items

Bulk mail won't be accepted. The jail specifically mentions copies of internet pages and large batches of scanned documents. If you have a lot to share, keep it focused. A shorter, more personal letter is better than a thick packet that gets rejected.

1. Update the mailing address you have saved. After Feb 10, 2025, send inmate mail to: JailATM.com – Rockdale County Jail, Inmate Name / Inmate Number, 925B Peachtree St. NE, Box 2062, Atlanta, GA 30309.
2. Label money orders the way the jail requires. Write the inmate’s name and “Money Order” on the front so it will be accepted.
3. Plan to hand-deliver signature forms. Business or administrative forms that require a signature should be brought directly to the facility rather than mailed.
