Visiting at the Sayle Unit is a privilege that can be restricted or cancelled for rule violations, lockdowns, security incidents, or health and safety reasons. To schedule, you'll use TDCJ's online visitation scheduler. Create and verify an account, complete the background questionnaire, then submit a relation request for the inmate. Your request sits in "Relation Requests Pending Approval" until TDCJ staff approve it. Only then will the Schedule Visit option appear. Each inmate can have up to 10 names on their Visitors List. The scheduler hides dates when the inmate already has a visit booked that week. Contact visits allow a brief embrace and kiss at the start and end, plus holding hands during the visit. If privileges are removed, you'll see "Not Approved for Visits."

To add money for someone at the Sayle Unit, you must be an approved sender. Only people on the inmate's Approved Visitor list or Inmate Telephone List can deposit funds, so confirm you're on one of those lists before sending anything. One option is monthly ACH debit: the debit typically initiates around the 5th and funds usually credit the offender's account around the 10th. This requires an ACH authorization form plus a voided check. Funds go into the Inmate Trust Fund (commissary) account for commissary, phone time, laundry, and similar needs. Don't mail cash or send money to the facility address. Follow centralized deposit instructions and accepted payment methods exactly to avoid rejections or returns.
