SCI Fayette

SCI Fayette follows Pennsylvania DOC security rules. Your vehicle must be locked while on prison property. Every visitor—including minors—passes through a metal detector and may be searched. There's no public waiting area, so anyone not visiting must leave the grounds. Visits are scheduled and verified through the Inmate Visitation System (IVS) using Keystone authentication. Adults need their own IVS account; minors are added under a parent or guardian. Bring a current government-issued photo ID showing your date of birth and an address that matches the ID. SCI Fayette runs several work programs. The PCI license-plate factory employs 60 inmate workers producing aluminum and organizational plates for PennDOT. A separate metal factory has 37 inmate workers making cabinets, shelves, security benches, and cell furniture for state agencies. PCI also uses an 11-person inmate office crew for design, billing, and administrative support. Education options include Adult Basic Education, GED, and correspondence courses. Vocational training covers Carpentry, Cosmetology, Custodial Maintenance and Repair, Electricity, Flagger/OSHA, HVAC, and Welding. Reentry Service Offices serve people within 18 months of their minimum or release date, with a computer lab for resumes, job searches, and connections to community services. As of December 31, 2025, SCI Fayette's authorized population is 2,032, with 2,372 capacity (85.7% occupancy) and 2,016 physically present.
