The Superintendent's Assistant needs this information to set up the visit in the inmate visitation system (IVS). First-time professional visitors will be added to IVS during this call. Once you've coordinated a date and time, expect an automated confirmation email at the address you provided. That email includes your visit link and a connection guide.
Timing tip: You can join a professional video visit up to five minutes before the scheduled start time.
- Call the SCI Superintendent’s Assistant to schedule. This is the required starting point for setting up a professional video visit at the SCI where the inmate is housed.
- Provide your scheduling details. Share your name, agency, category, email address, agency address, and phone number so the visit can be set up correctly.
- Watch for the automated confirmation email. After the Superintendent’s Assistant coordinates the date and time, you will receive an automated email confirmation that includes the visit link and a connection guide.
- Make sure you are added to IVS (first visit only). If this is your first professional video visit, the Superintendent’s Assistant will add you to the inmate visitation system (IVS).
- Open the visit from the confirmation email (or IVS upcoming visits). At visit time, click the video visit URL from the automated confirmation email, or open it from IVS if it appears under upcoming visits.
- Join through Zoom and enter your name or email. The link opens Zoom, then select “Launch Meeting” and type in your name or email address to join.

Canceling a visit: Call the Superintendent’s Assistant as far in advance as possible. After the cancellation is entered in IVS, you should receive an automated cancellation email to the address on file.
