What to Do If You Need to Cancel a Professional Visit with a PA DOC SCI
Need to cancel a scheduled professional visit at a Pennsylvania state prison (SCI)? The process is simple once you know who to contact and what confirmation to expect.
Call the Superintendent's Assistant at the SCI where the inmate is housed. They're the ones who can cancel your scheduled visit.
Note: If this is your first professional video visit, the Superintendent’s Assistant adds you to the inmate visitation system. Your professional visitor details are shared across facilities, so you typically only need to be added once.
When you call to cancel, the Superintendent's Assistant removes the visit from the inmate visitation system.
After the cancellation goes through, you'll get an automated email confirmation. It goes to whatever email address the system has on file for you as a professional visitor.
This mirrors the scheduling workflow. When you book a professional video visit, the system sends a confirmation email with a connection guide and your visit link.
Confirming Cancellation
- ✓ Check for the automated cancellation email notification.
- ✓ Confirm it was sent to the email address you have on file as a professional visitor.
- ✓ If you do not receive it, contact the SCI again and ask to speak to the Superintendent’s Assistant to confirm the visit was canceled in the system.
