SCORE Visit Cancellation Rules & What to Do if a Lockdown Cancels Your Visit

SCORE handles visits online through securustech.net. You'll register with your information (including a valid email address), then schedule and manage visits from there. Plan ahead: visits must be booked at least 24 hours in advance and no more than 7 days out. Same-day visitation isn't allowed.

Need to cancel? You or the inmate can do so up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancel inside that 24-hour window, though, and it counts as a used visit. If you know you can't make it, cancel early.

Lockdowns work differently. When an inmate is on disciplinary lockdown, they may lose visitation privileges. SCORE will email you a cancellation notice. The silver lining: lockdown cancellations initiated by SCORE don't count against your weekly visit.

When SCORE cancels your visit - including for a lockdown - you'll get an email notice. They won't automatically reschedule for you, so log back in and book a new time yourself.

SCORE Visit Cancellation Rules & What to Do if a Lockdown Cancels Your Visit
  1. Check your email for the cancellation - SCORE sends cancellation notices by email, so confirm the visit was canceled before you rebook.
  2. Log in (or register) on securustech.net - this is where SCORE visits are scheduled and managed.
  3. Schedule a new visit online - SCORE requires visitors affected by a SCORE-initiated cancellation to reschedule through securustech.net.

Reminder: SCORE internet visits are scheduled in 25-minute increments. Visits start and end on time and won’t be restarted if you miss the start time.

Tips to Avoid Cancellations

  • Cancel as soon as you know you can’t make it so you stay outside the 24-hour window
  • Watch your email closely on visit day in case you receive a cancellation notice
  • Log in a little early so you don’t miss the start time
  • Do a quick device/internet check ahead of your scheduled time
  • If you’re rescheduling, pick a time you can fully commit to so you don’t lose minutes of your visit
