What Happens If You're Late to a SCORE Video Visit
If you're late to a SCORE video visit, you can still connect - but the clock doesn't wait for you. Sessions start and end at their scheduled times, whether you're there or not.
SCORE video visits are scheduled in 25-minute blocks. Join late, and you lose that time - the session won't be extended. Say your visit starts at 2:00 PM and you log in at 2:10 PM. You'll still connect, but the visit ends at 2:25 PM regardless. Those first 10 minutes are gone.
Practical Advice
- ✓ Register for video visitation through Securus before you try to visit.
- ✓ Schedule your visit through Securus ahead of time (don’t wait until the last minute).
- ✓ Double-check that the account details you used to register are correct before your visit time.
- ✓ Join a few minutes early so you don’t lose part of your scheduled session.
SCORE requires visitors to register and schedule visits online through Securus before connecting with an inmate. Set up your account ahead of time - don't wait until the day of your visit. Scheduling has its own rules. Visits must be booked at least 24 hours in advance but no more than 7 days out. Same-day visits aren't allowed, so if something goes wrong at the last minute, you won't be able to book a replacement slot for that day.
Tip: Since internet visits are set in 25-minute blocks and won’t be restarted after the start time, joining early is the simplest way to protect your full visit time.
- Finish the visit you have - even if you joined late, the session runs until the scheduled end time.
- Schedule another visit through Securus - plan for the required timing: at least 24 hours in advance, no more than 7 days out, and no same-day visits.
Missed part of your slot? That time is gone. SCORE doesn't restart sessions or add missed minutes to the end. The visit ends at its scheduled time, no exceptions.
