Every adult visitor at Sheboygan County Detention Center must register with Securus before any visit—including on-site visits. GTL also offers online scheduling and an Android app (GTL VisMobile) for registration and visit management. Remote video visits run daily in three blocks: 9:00 AM–11:30 AM, 1:00 PM–2:30 PM, and 5:30 PM–9:00 PM. On-site visits happen Monday and Thursday from 6:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Wednesday from 1:00 PM–2:30 PM. All visits are recorded and electronically monitored, though approved attorneys and other professionals may be exempt. Each 20-minute session allows only two guests in view. Leave phones, cameras, and recording devices at home. Children need a birth certificate on their first visit. Dress conservatively and expect standard security screening.

Sheboygan County Detention Center uses Securus Video Connect for video sessions. You can connect from anywhere using the free Securus app, a computer, or a tablet. Phone access is controlled—inmates can only call approved contacts, and three-way calls are strictly prohibited. Getting caught on a three-way call means disciplinary action. Need to add phone minutes? Your loved one can submit a request to the bookkeeper: $10 for 20 minutes or $20 for 40 minutes. Purchased time gets issued on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You'll need a vendor account and must be on the facility-approved contact list. Expect calls and electronic messages to be monitored.

As of 05/01/2023, Sheboygan County Detention Center no longer accepts personal mail directly. Instead, letters go to the Securus Digital Mail Center, where they're scanned and made available to inmates on tablets and kiosk systems—the original paper isn't delivered. A few exceptions: legal mail, publications, and money orders must still be mailed directly to Sheboygan County Detention Center. To avoid delays, include the inmate's full legal name and booking/DOC number, plus your return address. For publications, follow publisher or vendor rules for subscriptions and books.

Cash deposits go through the KIOSK in the Detention Center entrance at 2923 S 31st St, Sheboygan. Mailing funds? Use a money order or cashier's check—personal checks aren't accepted, and the total can't exceed $500. The facility deducts certain fees directly from the inmate's canteen account for services they request. Nurse sick call runs Monday–Friday with a $5.00 fee. MD sick call happens once per week at $7.00. Need to pay failure-to-pay fines? Handle them in person at the Sheriff's Department first floor, or pay online or by phone through GovPayNet.
