IDOC recently switched video visitation from GTL to ICSolutions for most facilities, including Sheridan (ATCs are the exception). What this means for you: register with ICSolutions first, then use that account to schedule video visits with your loved one.

Video visits at Sheridan are scheduled through the ICSolutions website. Don't bother calling the facility - all video visit scheduling happens online.

Before you start browsing time slots, know the limits. The person you're visiting can have one video visit per day and two per week maximum. That two-per-week cap applies even if they're in restrictive housing.

  • ✓ No more than three approved visitors per video visit for individuals in custody in general population or protective custody status.

You won't find any video visit slots between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM - that's when Sheridan runs institutional count. Pick a time outside that window.
