How to Schedule Your First Video Visit at South County Detention Facility

South County Detention Facility offers two video visit options: on-site video stations at the facility, or internet visits from home. On-site visits run Sunday through Saturday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. - a solid choice if you're nearby and prefer daytime hours. Internet visits are available daily from 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Pacific Time, giving you evening flexibility if getting to the facility isn't realistic. The key difference? Cost. Internet visits are paid per session, while on-site visits include free weekly options (more on that below).

Before scheduling, make sure you have the right accounts set up. Video visit scheduling runs through ICSolutions - your confirmation code is tied to that registration. If you need to make a deposit at the facility lobby kiosk, that's a separate system: you'll need an ACCESS CORRECTIONS account for kiosk transactions.

Decide whether you're doing an on-site or internet visit, then find hours that work for you. Internet visits are available across a long daily window, but scheduling itself happens during set times. For South County, you can schedule internet visits during these windows: 7:45 a.m.–11:05 a.m., 1:00 p.m.–4:10 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.–9:20 p.m. (Pacific Time). No openings when you first check? Plan ahead: all video visits must be scheduled at least one day in advance. Same-day visits typically aren't an option. Pick a slot for tomorrow or later, then confirm it shows as scheduled in your account.

Checkin Requirements

• ✓ Check in at least five minutes before your scheduled on-site video visit begins.
• ✓ Bring required photo ID for each scheduled visitor.
• ✓ Use one of these accepted IDs: U.S. Driver’s License, U.S. Identification card, U.S. Active Military ID, U.S. Resident card, U.S. Passport, or a U.S. government-issued ID card.

For on-site video visits, you'll log in at the facility video station using your confirmation code. At South County, that code combines the phone number on your ICSolutions account plus the 4-digit PIN you set during registration. Having trouble connecting? Know the limits before you start scheduling - it'll save you time. At South County, each inmate gets two free 30-minute on-site visits per week. Beyond those, inmates can have up to two additional paid on-site video visits weekly. For internet visits, each inmate can have up to two paid visits per day.

Visits are set for pre-determined times and last up to 30 minutes. Staff monitor sessions periodically. The Facility Commander can approve longer visits in special circumstances, but plan on the standard 30 minutes.

1. Confirm your time slot at least a day ahead - all video visits must be scheduled at least one day in advance.
2. Re-check your scheduled visit the day before - because the published “how far ahead” limit conflicts (one week vs. two weeks), rely on what your ICSolutions account actually lets you schedule.
