How to Send Mail to Someone at Bell County Jail — which address to use and how to track it
Bell County Jail lists two different mailing addresses for inmate mail. Here's what each one is for and how to track your letter once it's sent.
Bell County Jail shows two different addresses depending on where you look. One is labeled "INMATE REGULAR MAIL" through Smart Communications and uses a Florida PO Box: (Inmate name, Inmate booking #) PO Box 9146, Seminole, FL 33775-9146. The other is the jail's street address: Inmate's Name, 113 West Central Ave, Belton, Texas 76513. Both appear in official county information, so double-check which address matches the type of mail you're sending before dropping anything in the mailbox.
The Smart Communications address is marked as the jail's "INMATE REGULAR MAIL" option, effective June 20, 2022. For regular mail going through Smart Communications, address it exactly as shown: (Inmate name, Inmate booking #) PO Box 9146, Seminole, FL 33775-9146. That "effective" date signals this is the newer, preferred address for regular inmate mail processed through Smart Communications.
Want to track your mail? Bell County Jail recommends signing up for MailGuard Tracker to follow delivery to the inmate. This suggestion appears alongside the Smart Communications instructions, so it's designed to work with that PO Box mailing process.
With two published addresses - a Smart Communications PO Box and a Belton street address - confirm which one to use before sending anything time-sensitive. If you're going the Smart Communications route, include every detail the jail expects: the inmate's full name and booking number. That booking number is how mail gets matched to the right person. Leave it off, and you risk delays.
Reminder: When using the Smart Communications mailing format, include the inmate’s name and booking number on the address.
