Before Your First Visit to St. Louis Justice Center: A Checklist

Before you make the trip, confirm you're approved to visit. Call the City Justice Center at (314) 621-5848 and give the operator the inmate's name. Here's something that catches people off guard: at the City Justice Center, the inmate requests the visit - not you. They're allowed one social visit per week, so if you're juggling work or childcare, coordinate with your loved one early about which day and time works. Keep in mind they must submit the request at least two days in advance through their Housing Unit Officer. Last-minute plans usually won't work.

Social visits run seven days a week, Monday through Sunday. Each visit lasts one hour, with time slots available between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
