Visiting Hours and Scheduling at St. Louis Justice Center: What You Need to Know
Visiting at the City Justice Center is straightforward once you understand the schedule and booking process. Here's what you need to know about visiting hours, who schedules visits, and what might prevent one from happening.
Social visits at the City Justice Center run seven days a week, Monday through Sunday. Each visit lasts one hour. Sessions are scheduled within the daily window of 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. - your assigned time will fall somewhere in that range.
Note: Visiting periods begin promptly. If you arrive late, you won’t be permitted to visit.
Here's the key thing: at the City Justice Center, the incarcerated person schedules the visit - not you. They request dates and times through their Housing Unit Officer, and that request must be made two days in advance. Same-day or next-day visits aren't an option. If you're coordinating travel or work schedules, plan ahead. Talk with your loved one early so they can submit the request in time.
Social visits are limited to one per week. You also need to be pre-approved through the Visitor Request process before any visit can happen. Even if your loved one requests a time, you won't get in unless you're already on the approved visitor list.

- ✓ Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled visiting time so you have time to register.
- ✓ Call the City Justice Center at (314) 621-5848 with the inmate’s name; the operator can locate them and transfer you to the correct Case Worker.
Before making the trip, confirm you're approved through the Visitor Request process. If your approval isn't complete, you won't be allowed to visit - even if a time was requested.
