Illinois prison video visits: switching from GTL to ICSolutions — how to register and schedule

Illinois Department of Corrections switched video visitation from GTL to ICSolutions at all IDOC facilities, except ATCs. The bottom line: if you were using GTL for video visits, you'll need to move to ICSolutions. That means creating a new visitor account and using it to schedule your video visits.

1. Create your ICSolutions visitor account - Registration is required for friends and family who want to schedule video visits with someone in IDOC custody.
2. Complete your registration details - Follow the prompts to finish setting up your account so you can request and manage visits.
3. Enter your GTL Visitor ID (if you have one) - IDOC recommends adding your GTL Visitor ID during registration because it can help expedite approval.

Once you're registered, schedule all video visits through the ICSolutions website. The facility can't book a video visit for you over the phone - calling won't get you a time slot. Need to reschedule or cancel? You'll do that through your ICSolutions account too.
