How to Visit Facility

You need a reservation to visit Toledo Correctional Institution. Visiting hours can change without notice, so call ahead to confirm the current schedule before you head out. This is especially important if you are traveling any distance.

Expect security screening when you arrive. All visitors go through a search at entry, and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction enforces zero tolerance for contraband on institution grounds.

If you are submitting a visitor application, include a clear, legible copy of your photo ID with the paperwork. If the copy is hard to read, it can slow things down.

Steps

• ✓ Make a reservation for your visit (required for all visits).
• ✓ Reserve by phone at 419-726-7977, follow prompt 1 (ext 62258), or reserve by email at drc.visitationtoci@drc.ohio.gov.
• ✓ Complete the visitor application and include a legible copy of your photo ID.
• ✓ After your visitation application is approved, register with GTL VisitMe so you can make visits.

• ✓ Be prepared to be searched when you enter.
• ✓ Do not bring drugs, alcohol, or weapons onto institution grounds.
• ✓ Do not bring cash.
• ✓ Do not bring cellular telephones (or similar two-way devices).
