How to Sign Up for a Face-to-Face Visit at Tom Green County Jail (step-by-step)
Visiting someone in jail can feel like a lot the first time. But once you know the sign-up times and what to bring, the face-to-face visit process at Tom Green County Jail is pretty straightforward.
Sign-up slips for face-to-face visits at Tom Green County Jail are available twice a day: 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. Show up outside those times and you'll likely miss the chance to grab a slip for the session you want.
Once slips are available, an officer starts signing visitors up at set times. Morning sign-ups begin at 8:30 am, evening sign-ups at 6:30 pm.

The morning sign-up window runs from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. An officer starts processing visitors at 8:30 am, so plan to be there and ready during that hour.

Note: Visitation doors open at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm for the first round of visits. Those are the key start times for each session.

Each face-to-face visit is limited to 20 minutes. Think about what you want to talk about ahead of time so you're not spending the first half getting settled.
Morning visits allow up to four adult visitors. If your group is larger than that, decide in advance who's going in so you're not scrambling at the window.
Evening visits also allow four adult visitors, with no limit on the number of children. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult, and minors may only visit during the evening session.
No ID? Go back and get it before trying to sign up. You'll also need your completed sign-up slip when your number is called at the window.
Most timing problems come from mixing up slip pick-up times with the actual sign-up window. Slips are available at 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, but the officer sign-up periods don't start until 8:30 am (morning) and 6:30 pm (evening). The weekly sign-up windows are 8:30 am to 9:30 am and 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Show up too early and you'll be waiting around for slips or for the officer to begin. Show up late and you may miss the window entirely.
