Visitation at Tulia Unit

How to visit, scheduling, dress code, and visitor requirements

Overview

Tulia Unit holds on-site visits Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each regular visit lasts two hours, starting once both the inmate and visitor(s) are present. Eligible inmates typically get one visit per visiting cycle. Before planning your trip, confirm the inmate's classification—certain G1/J1/J2 classifications have specific contact-visit eligibility rules. Traveling more than 250 miles one way? The warden may approve an extended visit up to four hours. Most visits (except attorney–client) may be electronically monitored. During contact visits, physical contact is limited: brief embracing and kissing at the start and end, plus restricted handholding. Visits can be cut short or restricted for rule violations, security issues, lockdowns, escapes, disturbances, or health emergencies. Bring a current government-issued ID—you won't get in without one.
