Before Your First Visit to Victorville: ID, BP‑A0224 & What Happens at Check‑In
Your first visit to Victorville goes a lot smoother when you know what staff will check at the front end. This walkthrough covers the ID requirement, the BP‑A0224 form, the visitor log, and the most common reasons people get turned away at check‑in.
Bring a valid state or government photo ID. Staff check it to verify who you are before letting you into any institution in the Victorville complex. Don't leave it in the car, and don't assume a photo on your phone will work.
Heads up: If you show up without a valid photo ID, you can be denied entry and will have to leave the institution grounds.
During processing, you'll be asked to read and sign Form BP‑A0224 (Notification to Visitor). This is a standard step at the USP Victorville complex, so plan for it as part of check‑in.
You'll also sign the visitor log book. Staff use the log as part of check‑in, and you'll do this every time you visit, not just the first time.
Denial Reasons
- ✓ Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or being in possession of drugs and/or alcohol
- ✓ Possessing any weapon(s)
- ✓ Not presenting a valid state or government photo ID
If you're breastfeeding, you can request a private option in the visiting area. Mothers may use an Attorney Client Room, with a chair placed in a discreet spot out of view of inmates and other visitors. The inmate is not allowed to accompany you into that room.
Before you drive out, confirm you're on the approved visitor list. If you have questions about visiting at USP Victorville, call (760) 530-5000. Phone numbers for FCI I, FCI II, and the Satellite Camp are listed in the Victorville visiting supplement.
Keep in mind: Inmates are limited to four approved visitors at one time. Up to three additional children under age ten can be present as long as they don't occupy seats.
