How to Visit Facility
Visits go a lot smoother when you plan around the facility's hard rules. Two policies matter most: you can only take one visiting time slot per visiting day, and video visits cannot be recorded or shared.
You're limited to one visiting time slot per visiting day. Sign up for more than one slot on the same day, and the facility can deny all of your sign-ups for that day. If you're coordinating with other family members, pick a single slot ahead of time so nobody accidentally costs the group the whole day.
No recording or posting video visits. Recording, photographing, live streaming, or posting any part of a video visit is prohibited. Violations can suspend visiting privileges for both you and the incarcerated person.
Steps to Follow
- ✓ Sign up for only one visiting time slot per visiting day. If you sign up for multiple slots on the same day, all sign-ups for that day can be denied.
- ✓ Do not record, photograph, live stream, or post any portion of a video visit. If you do, visiting privileges can be suspended for both the inmate and the visitor.
When you schedule, confirm the "one slot per visiting day" rule and how it's enforced. Ask whether multiple sign-ups are automatically blocked or reviewed and denied later by staff. That way you'll know exactly how careful you need to be when selecting a time.
Before a video visit, verify the facility's policy on recording, photos, live streaming, and posting clips. Ask what they expect you to do with your device during the visit (for example, any settings you need to disable, or whether other people can be in the room). Also confirm what happens if there's a suspected violation. The consequence can be a suspension of visiting privileges for both sides.
