How to Contact an Inmate at Victoria Texas Jail, TX (TX)

Victoria County Jail changed how regular inmate mail works. Starting January 1, 2021, all non-legal, non-commercial mail sent to inmates gets converted to an electronic format. Personal mail no longer works like normal correspondence. You have two options: send it electronically through JailATM.com, or mail it to the JailATM.com processing address in Fort Worth, where it gets scanned and converted.

Addressing still matters. Include the person's name and CR number, along with the facility address: Victoria County Jail, 101 N Glass Street, Victoria, Texas 77901. Whichever mailing route you choose, write the envelope clearly. Both the mailing address and a legible return address need to be on the same side of the envelope.

Note: All mail goes through additional security screening. Anything that doesn't meet the requirements may be returned to the sender.

Separately, if you're using the county's RNS notification system for recorded documents, there's a cap on how many entries you can monitor. A registered RNS user can track up to five persons or properties per registered email.

Steps to Follow

  • For non-legal, non-commercial inmate mail, use JailATM.com to send electronically, or mail it to the JailATM.com processing address in Fort Worth
  • Include the inmate’s name and CR number
  • Use the facility address format the jail provides (Victoria County Jail, 101 N Glass Street, Victoria, Texas 77901)
  • Write the mailing address and your return address legibly on the same side of the envelope
  1. Write with screening in mind: Keep your mail straightforward and avoid including anything that could be flagged during security screening.
  2. Send it through the approved channel: For non-legal, non-commercial mail, use JailATM.com or mail it to the JailATM.com processing address so it can be converted to electronic format.
  3. Expect a review and possible return: Mail is screened, and items that do not meet requirements can be returned to you.
  1. Register with RNS: Create an account using your email.
  2. Add the people or properties you want to monitor: You can track up to five persons or properties per registered email.
  3. Manage your tracked list: If you need to monitor something new, you may have to remove an older entry to stay within the limit.

What to Verify

  • Confirm JailATM.com is still the required option for non-legal, non-commercial inmate mail
  • Confirm the current JailATM.com Fort Worth mailing address to use for converted mail
  • Confirm what content is currently allowed, since all items are screened and may be returned to sender
  • Confirm the exact addressing details the jail wants used (inmate name, CR number, and how they want the envelope addressed)
  • If you plan to use RNS, confirm current registration steps and whether the “track up to five persons/properties per email” limit still applies

Warning: Mail handling policies can change. Before you send anything, verify the current process. Screened mail that doesn't meet requirements will be returned to you.
