Victoria County Jail — Visitation Checklist by Gender & Last Name (A-L vs M-Z)
Visiting at Victoria County Jail comes down to a quick lookup: match your loved one's gender and last-name group (A–L or M–Z) to the right day and time.

Contract inmates follow a separate schedule from the regular male/female A–L vs M–Z rotation. Their visits are on Wednesday at 9:00 am and 10:00 am.
Trusty inmates also skip the standard alphabetical schedule. Their visitation times are Wednesday at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, plus Sunday at 3:15 pm and 4:15 pm.
No visitation days: Victoria County Jail has no visitation on Tuesdays or Fridays.
Start with two things: gender (male or female) and the inmate's last-name group (A–L or M–Z). A male inmate with a last name A–L visits on Monday at 8:00 am or 10:00 am. A male inmate with a last name M–Z visits on Monday at 1:30 pm or 3:30 pm. For females, the split works the same way but on Thursday. Female A–L is Thursday at 10:00 am or 10:45 am. Female M–Z is Thursday at 3:15 pm or 4:00 pm. Once you know the group, check the at-a-glance lists above and plan around the correct window.
- ✓ Male (any last name): Saturday - 8:00 am or 10:00 am
- ✓ Male (any last name): Saturday - 1:30 pm or 3:30 pm
- ✓ Female (any last name): Sunday - 10:00 am or 10:45 am; and 2:00 pm or 2:45 pm
Give yourself extra time - lines and check-in often take longer than expected. Bring a valid photo ID and leave unnecessary items behind so you don't have to run back to your car. If there's any chance your loved one is contract or a trusty, confirm that classification before you go. Those visits use different time slots than the A–L vs M–Z schedule.
Not sure which slot applies? Double-check the jail's published visitation schedule and confirm your loved one's group (male/female and A–L vs M–Z) before making the trip. The most common mix-ups involve last-name groups and special classifications - a quick confirmation can save you a wasted drive.
Clergy visits: Clergy visits are listed as Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 11:00 am - this is separate from regular in-person visitation slots.
