Bringing Your Baby or Toddler: What Baby Items Are Allowed at Warren Visits

Warren Correctional Institution requires diaper bags to be clear. Inside, you can bring basic infant-care essentials: diapers, wipes, a limited number of feeding items, and a pacifier. Stick to clear bags and stay within the limits below - it speeds up check-in and keeps you from having to leave things behind.

• ✓ Up to three clear plastic containers of baby food
• ✓ One pacifier

• ✓ A reasonable number of diapers
• ✓ Baby wipes (pack them in a clear bag or clear container)

Personal bags aren't allowed in the visiting area, even when you're visiting with a baby. That means no purses, handbags, or backpacks. Carry only what you need in the approved clear diaper bag. If you usually split essentials between a purse and diaper bag, consolidate everything before you arrive - you don't want to be sorting items at the entrance.

1. Pack only a clear diaper bag - leave purses, handbags, and backpacks at home or secured elsewhere.
2. Count out feeding items before you go - bring no more than three clear plastic bottles and three clear plastic containers of baby food, plus one pacifier.
3. Keep diapering supplies simple - pack a reasonable number of diapers and wipes, and keep wipes in a clear bag or clear container so they’re easy to inspect.

You'll still need to complete the normal entry process: register each time you visit and show government-issued ID at check-in. Juggling a diaper bag and a little one? Have your ID ready before you reach the desk.
