Warren's New Mail Address: What Changed and How to Address Letters Correctly

Starting January 30, 2025, personal mail for people incarcerated at Warren - letters and cards from family and friends - goes to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) Mail Processing Center (OMPC). Update the address you're using for personal correspondence, or your mail may get delayed.

Address personal correspondence to the OMPC in Youngstown - not to Warren directly. The first line should include the incarcerated person's name and DOC number in the state's format (for example, "John Doe R111111" or "John Doe A555555"). Then use this address exactly: Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Mail Processing Center (OMPC), 884 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44505.

This change only applies to personal letters and cards. Legal mail, business correspondence, and printed materials like magazines, newspapers, and books still go directly to the prison's physical address - not the OMPC.

Already sent something to the old Warren address? It won't be lost, but expect delays. Mail sent to the previous address gets forwarded to the processing center, which adds extra time before your loved one receives it.
