How to Send Money to an Inmate at Webster County Detention Center

Webster County Detention Center accepts inmate funds several ways. Drop off money in person Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Can't make those hours? Use the kiosks in the detention center lobby anytime. You can also mail a money order (see fill-out requirements below). For phone or commissary deposits, the facility directs families to Care-A-Cell. For "chirp" deposits, use Combined Public Communications.

Note: The detention center won't accept in-person drop-offs outside Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm. Personal checks aren't accepted and will be destroyed. If the inmate owes fees to the facility, up to 50% of deposits may be withheld.

Want to drop off money in person? You'll need to come during the facility's drop-off window: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is the only time they accept direct drop-offs.

Reminder: No money will be taken at the facility for drop-off at any other time outside 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday–Friday.

Miss the weekday drop-off window? The kiosks in the detention center lobby let you add money after hours. This is your go-to option when the drop-off window is closed.

Sending money by mail? Webster County Detention Center only accepts money orders. Skip other payment types - they won't go through.

  • Make the money order payable to Webster County Detention Center.
  • Sign the money order as the purchaser.
  • Write the inmate’s name in the memo line.
  • Double-check everything before you mail it - any money order not filled out exactly this way will be returned.

Do not send personal checks: Webster County Detention Center does not accept personal checks, and they will be destroyed upon receipt.

For certain services, the detention center directs you to specific vendors. Phone or commissary deposits go through Care-A-Cell. "Chirp" deposits go through Combined Public Communications. Not sure which you need? Figure out what the funds are for first, then use the matching vendor.

Heads up: If the inmate owes fees to Webster County Detention Center, the facility may withhold up to 50% of deposits to meet those obligations.
