Plan a family visit to Westchester County Jail: group size and physical contact
Use this guide to choose who will attend together and prepare children for the visit’s physical-contact limits. Westchester County Jail allows only two visitors per visit, and children count toward that total.
Westchester County Jail allows two visitors in total, including children. An adult and a child fill both places; children do not receive extra places beyond that limit.
Each incarcerated person is entitled to two visits per week. Only one visit may fall on a weekend or recognized holiday.
You may share a brief embrace and kiss at the beginning and end of the visit, under direct correctional-staff supervision. Violating the contact policy results in the visit being terminated. The following actions are prohibited during the visit:
- ✓ Holding hands
- ✓ Kissing beyond the brief greeting and goodbye
- ✓ Handshakes or any other additional physical contact
- ✓ Passing an infant between you and the person you are visiting
